All of the proceeds from GT Jam for Haiti will be split 50/50 between CARE and The Fuller Center, two nonprofits headquartered in the Atlanta area that are involved in the relief and rebuilding of Haiti.

Care CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty. They place special focus on working alongside poor women internationally to improve education, prevent the spread of HIV, increase access to clean water and sanitation, expand economic opportunity and deliver emergency aid to survivors of war and natural disasters.

CARE has already helped over 241,000 Haitian people with aid since the earthquake, and that number is growing daily. During this relief phase, they are primarily focused on providing food, shelter, water, sanitation and immunizations. Beginning in March, CARE will add longer-term activities to strengthen health programming, provide economic opportunities, distribute school kits, and assist with the reconstruction of infrastructure.

The Fuller CenterEstablished by the original founder of Habitat for Humanity, The Fuller Center for Housing is an international nonprofit dedicated to eliminating poverty housing worldwide. By forming partnerships with local organizations, they provide the structure, guidance and support that communities need to build and repair homes for the impoverished among them.

The Fuller Center has partnered up with Lazarian World Homes to begin building new homes for Haiti in March. For less than $3,000 per house, they will build earthquake-proof, hurricane-proof, fire resistant homes for the people of Haiti. This will be a long-term need to help provide permanent shelter to the over 1.2 million people left homeless after the earthquake.
